The Story of Theresa
“Hello Theresa, how’ve you been?”
“Oh! Fine Jimmy. I haven’t seen you in awhile… how’s Cindy?”
Jimmy Webster, twenty years old, well built, and with the most
incredible blue eyes, leaned one arm against the doorjamb and
smiled his best smile back at Theresa Stahl.
“I really don’t know.” He looked down at the ground as he
continued, “Cindy and I broke up about a week ago. It just wasn’t
working out. Y’know how things go.”
Theresa was taken aback. She had last spoken to Cindy a little
over a week ago and Cindy didn’t give any indication that anything
was wrong. Then again, she probably wouldn’t. Although Theresa and
Cindy had grown up together, they were never really `friends’. They
