Again, no one raised their hand.
“Mistresses, please please please let me live. I beg each and
every one of you to take pity on me.” Jack screamed.
“I ask again, who thinks that this man, Jack, should be allowed to
live?” Once again, no one raised their hand.
Jack began crying uncontrollably, knowing his death was imminent.
“I now ask, should this man, Jack, die?”
Every single attendat raised their hands.
“Then it is decided, Jack shall die.” Jack began openly wailing
for the mercy of the attendants. “Shut up, Jack, or your death will
be slow.”
Karen then addressed the attendents again, “Jack will die. Should
the slave KA3 die as well?”
No one raised their hand, and Jack understood. He, Jack would
die. Everything that Jack was, and stood for, would die. He would
