For the first time in his life, Jack was afraid for his life. He
really didn’t want to die. Even though he had already made up his
mind to accept death as an alternative, he could not help the feelings
coursing through him. Death. That meant.. death. He couldn’t accept
it; he felt hot tears runnign down his cheeks. Karen’s finger was
tightening on the trigger. Suddenly, Jack blurted out, “Mistress
Karen, I beg for my life.”
She looked at Jack for a moment, looked almost dissappointed, and
said, “But Jack, you are an honorable man. This will all be over
shortly, and you don’t need to call me Mistress any more. You are
honorable, you may call me just plain Karen.”
“Mistress Karen, please spare my life.”
“I don’t think I understand. Only a brave man would have called
me a bitch the way you did. I don’t believe that you realize what you
